Our current services.

  • Family Grief Support Program

Every summer we are able to offer a 6 week program to serve up to 5 families. Program begins with all families enjoying dinner together, we then split up into two groups- Adults and youth. Each group is led by a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in Grief. We end with a full family session where we celebrate both the loved ones lost, as well as ourselves for learning more about how we can heal and transform through our grief process.

This is a Person Loss Specific program. Person loss can mean that someone has died or has been removed from your families life by incarceration or by ICE.

  • In-Person Drop In Adult Grief Groups

Monthly we hold an adult drop in grief group at The Congregation Coffee Shop on Rosa Parks in Detroit. These groups take place on the second Wednesday of each month.

This group is free and no registration is necessary! Come when you can leave when you must! We often will have an activity to do while connecting about grief and ALWAYS have fresh flowers for you to take home at the end!

These groups are for ALL and any types of grief that a person may be going through.

  • Community Support and Collaboration

GG’s House is available to work with individuals, professional organizations to provide education, resources and peer support around our mission to normalize grief.

  • In-School Programs

In-School grief support programs are an accessible and important way to support young people. We work during the normal school hours to provide consistent support to children using a rich range of therapy modalities including art, music, movement and group sharing. In-school programming allows us to build valuable relationships with school teachers, administrators and social workers.

  • After-School Programs

GG’s House partners with schools to provide onsite, after-school grief support programs. Our multidisciplinary curriculum can be designed to support a wide range of ages.

  • Summer Programs

Summer grief programs are an opportunity to support children outside of the normal school year. We’ve partnered with Goal Line Detroit for summer grief camp and hope to provide consistent summer camps at our future home.
