Our mission is to support Detroit area children, teens and adults experiencing grief

Vision

GG’s House is a place where one can form supportive relationships alongside people who have experienced grief themselves. We use the arts, movement, nature and our future home to hold and create space for grief. We aim to be a part of a culturally responsive community hub where individuals, children and families can be connected to and supported by each other through their personal grief journeys. Where people who are grieving can be directly connected to wrap-around services to ease the burdens caused by grief. Nurturing a culture where people can understand and respond to the trauma of grief- as community members, educators, healers and mental health professionals within the metro Detroit area.

Purpose

GG’s House creates space to heal, educate and build community through the common thread of grief.

We support children, families, individuals and institutions in learning about and normalizing the grief process with the assistance of trauma-informed counselors and peer support.

GG’s House aims to normalize the transition through grief by integrating new relationships, realities and ways to cope, together

We offer online and in-person adult grief groups, family outings and youth programming. We are committed to uplifting community needs and voices.
